Posted by sasgrf (Admin) at Dec 21 2011, 04:50 PM. 0 comments
As we talked about at the AGM we wanted to let the club know when we are meeting so those that are interested in attending and observing can join us. We have a final agenda item every meeting which is where those attending will have an opportunity to speak if they choose to.
Let us know if there are any questions or items/issues that we need to discuss.
Thanks
Sean

2011 Dues Structure and Payment List
Posted by Moose (Members) at Feb 11 2010, 12:47 PM. One comment
Hi everyone,
Our spring season is fast approaching, and so we need to get dues in from everyone so we can pay for necessary field equipment and referee's fees, among numerous other things.
This is important: ONLY DUES PAYING MEMBERS WILL GET PLAYING TIME- NO EXCEPTIONS. EVERYONE PAYS BEFORE THEY PLAY. It's the only fair way to do things, and the captains will be enforcing this once we start play in April.
That said, the Eboard is happy to announce the dues structure for 2011. We're also happy to announce that the Early Payment Plan will be in effect again this year. The deadline for reduced dues will be April 9, 2011- the day of our first real spring match. Here's the breakdown:
DUES STRUCTURE (AND WHAT GOES ALONG WITH IT):
- Active Non-Student Player: $170 for the whole year ($85 per season). If you pay in full by April 10, it's $150 for the year.
- Active Student Player: $90 for the whole year ($45 per season). If you pay in full by April 10, it's $80 for the year.
Dues Include:
-Gameday Stuff (Team CIPP, Team Equipment, Refs, Fields)
- USA Rugby Accident Insurace (up to $100,00 of medical care)
-Tournament Registration Fees
-Eligible for First XV (YOU MUST BE IN GOOD DUES STANDING TO BE ELIGIBLE)
-Socials
-Newsletters
Colonial Old Boy and Social Members: $50 for the YEAR-B-Sides and Socials
-Old Boy match and social
-Newsletters
-a percentage goes directly to fund Colonial Programs and Youth Rugby
Colonial Supporter (wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/random hook-ups/U of R girls/Facebook friends of the team): $25 for the year
-Newsletters
-Name goes on our website under "Friends of the Colonials"
-a percentage directly funds Colonial Programming and Youth Rugby
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dues can be paid:
-In cash to Matt Lake (Colonials Treasurer)
-By sending a PayPal payment to rochester_colonials@yahoo.com (send your dues as a "gift" to the Club)
-By sending a check made out to Rochester Colonials RFC to:
Colonial Dues
35 Trowbridge Trail
Pittsford, NY 14534
Every little bit helps, especially when we can get dues early in the year. For the active players, PAYING EARLY SAVES YOU MONEY. For the Old Boys, Social members and Supporters, your help keeps the club running at such a high level.
Thank you for your continued support of Rochester Colonials rugby.
Sincerely,
The Rochester Colonials RFC E-Board

Colonials Player's Code
Posted by cheesecake (E-Committee) at Apr 17 2009, 12:55 PM. 2 comments
To: The Members of the Rochester Colonials Rugby Football Club
Subject: Expectation of Colonial Conduct
Colonials,
The Executive Board, Captains and Coaches would like to express our pleasure and excitement regarding the progress our club has made this fall, both on and off the pitch. On the field, our numbers at practices have been great, we've added some excellent players to our team, and we put forth a solid efforts in our matches resulting in our first playoff appearance in several years. As always, we have an ambitious spring season in front of us, and the team has a great balance of experienced veterans and phenomenal young stars.
Once again, we want to publicly inform every player, Old Boy, and Friend of the Colonials of the Expectation of Colonial Conduct in order to curb any behavior and/or activities that would threaten the reputations of the club as well as those individuals who have worked so hard throughout the club's history to put the Colonials in our current position.
Colonials Code of Conduct:
1.) While representing the club or when at Colonial-sponsored events, behavior that could result in USA Rugby disciplinary sanctions, legal action against the club, or legal action against any members within cannot be tolerated.
2). Examples of such behavior and incidents include, but arenot limited to:
- Verbal or physical abuse towards others, including referees, opposing players, spectators, or teammates.
- Theft, destruction or purposeful damage of any club, host or sponsors' property.
- Illegal or illicit drug use on or within the surrounding areas* of Colonials-sponsored facilities during any Colonials event such as practice, matches (home or away), or Colonials-sponsored social functions (home or away).
*surrounding areas include residential areas, schools, wooded areas and/or parking lots adjacent to the field/building or any area within a 1/4 mile radius of the playing field location or a 500 yard radius of a social establishment.
- Any other behavior deemed to negatively affect the good name and reputation of the Colonials
3.) Any club member, including captains, executive committee members, coaches, and social members whose behavior puts the club at risk will be asked to discuss the situation and its effects with the current serving executive board as well as club captains and club coaches.
The executive committee and captains make no judgments on any player or individual regarding their activities and behaviors on their own time. This is a proactive statement to ensure the future of the Rochester Colonials. We promote a feeling of togetherness and fun but we must also conduct ourselves with class and respect when representing the club so we can continue to provide the best possible rugby experience for all Colonials past, present and future.
If you have any questions regarding this policy, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Executive Board.
Sincerely,
The Rochester Colonials RFC Executive Board, Captains and Coaches
